The College of Engineering and Computing alumni enjoy the highest average starting salary of all Virginia public schools, and more than 80 percent of them are employed within six months of graduation.

Mason College of Engineering and Computing gathers a curated list of job opportunities from a variety of sources, so everyone from freshmen to doctoral candidates can find opportunities to fit their needs.

University Career Services

Appointments: Students can make appointments with Career Advisors dedicated to the fields of Engineering and Technology through the Handshake platform. Convenient daytime and evening appointments are available. Students can also make appointments by contacting University Career Services at 703-993-2370.

Drop-In Hours: 15-minute drop-ins are available Monday – Friday from 1-3 p.m. at University Career Services (SUB I). They can be done in person, over the phone or Zoom. Please contact the office at 703-993-2370 or at if you have questions.

Fall 2022 Drop-In hours in 3255 Nguyen Engineering Building are also available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 2-5pm. These drop-ins are only conducted in person. Students are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

Internships: Students can view/apply for internships, on-campus and full-time job opportunities in Handshake. Career fairs, career workshops, and employer events can also be viewed in the Events section of Handshake.
