Congratulations on your acceptance to George Mason University's College of Engineering and Computing!
While earning your degree, you'll sharpen your technical skills, unlock career opportunities, and join a network of innovators. Use the guide below to prepare for enrollment.
Step 1: Log In to Your Application Portal
In the application portal, you can find important resources that will guide you through the process of accepting your offer of admission.
After logging in you can navigate the portal by using the bar at the top of the page.
The portal provides instructions for submitting your intent to enroll and your enrollment deposit, providing official transcripts, activating your student email account, obtaining a Mason ID and parking pass, registering for courses, and completing other important pre-arrival tasks.
Step 2: Attend Orientation and Welcome Events
New student orientation and welcome events introduce new graduate students to university policies, academic expectations, and essential campus services while creating opportunities to connect you with peers, faculty, and staff.
Academic departments may conduct program-specific orientations, typically within one to two weeks before classes begin. If you have questions about program-specific orientation, please contact the appropriate department.
International Student Orientation is hosted by the Office of International Programs and Services (OIPS) every spring and fall term. All new international students in F1/J1 status are required to attend.
Step 3: Connect with Your Advisor
After accepting your offer of admission as outlined above in Step 1, you will be able to access your academic advisor's information.
We encourage you to connect with your academic advisor to:
- Ask program-specific questions
- Develop a plan of study
- Explore concentration options
- Get course recommendations
- Seek career advice
